The sooner the better! Even if your injury is less than 24 hours old, a Physiotherapist can assess your injury, refer you to a GP or for an X-ray if needed, and provide guidelines for treatment and expected recovery time. Starting the correct treatment early helps speed up recovery.
-
The number of treatments and your recovery time will depend on the unique nature of your injury. During your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will work with you to create a clear treatment plan and give you a realistic idea of what to expect for a full recovery. If necessary, we may refer you for further investigations or specialist consultations to ensure you receive the best possible care.
-
You do not need a referral for physiotherapy as a private patient. However, if you are claiming under the Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC), work cover, or CTP, a current referral is required.
-
Yes, we have HICAPS which enables you to only pay the gap. Please note that coverage varies among health funds, so we recommend contacting your fund to estimate your specific coverage.
-
Yes. We are very experienced with work cover claims and can take the worry out of this sometimes confusing process for you. Please mention this when booking your initial consultation. If you have your relevant referral paperwork including claim numbers that would be great, if not we can help chase this up for you. In order for us to start physiotherapy, we need the following:
A copy of the WorkCover certificate
Your workers compensation insurance company details. In particular we need your claim number
Your insurance company case manager’s name,
The date your injury occurred ( if known )
The phone number for your claim manager.
-
Depending on the treatment area, you may need to change clothing. We provide shorts for your convenience, or you can bring your own. If you have recent x-rays or reports relevant to your condition, please bring them with you.
